Adaptation of entrances to buildings

The Jankowice Palace is located in a building at ul. Ogrodowa 2, 62-080 Jankowice. The unit operates in two buildings: in the building of the palace and the outbuilding. The facilities can be reached by public transport: the entrances are located approx. 300 m from the nearest bus stop. In each building there is a toilet adapted to the needs of the disabled. Communication spaces of the Jankowice Palace building are free of horizontal and vertical barriers. The Jankowice Palace building has an access ramp and an elevator, as well as a wheelchair for the disabled to move around the facility. The building of the outbuilding is one-story, while the entrance to the palace for the disabled is possible through the main door equipped with a lift for the disabled, a stairclimber and a ramp. NOTE – the door is not opened automatically. Devices have been installed in the building and technical means and architectural solutions have been used to enable access to all rooms – access ramps, elevator, caterpillar stairclimber. There is an information point in the building. The persons delegated to provide information at the main entrance of the palace are employees on duty in the palace office (the office is located to the left of the entrance), and in the outbuilding there is an employee of the secretary’s office of the Self-Government Primary Music School in Tarnów Podgórne.

Adaptation of the corridors

Horizontal communication – corridors on one level (excluding the basement, to which the stairclimber leads); Vertical communication – elevators. There is an information point in the building.

Adjusting the stairs

The building of the outbuilding is one-story, while the entrance to the palace for the disabled is possible through the main door equipped with a lift for the disabled, a stairclimber and a ramp. A lift for the disabled leading to the first and second floor of the palace is located on the ground floor. The platform and the stairclimber are operated by the palace employees, after prior notification of such a need to the palace office. The stairclimber allows you to transport people in a wheelchair up the stairs to the first floor (with the help of the facility’s staff).

Adaptation of elevators

The Jankowice Palace building has an access ramp and an elevator, as well as a wheelchair for the disabled to move around the facility.

Platform availability

The facility is equipped with the so-called a stairclimber enabling the transport of wheelchair users up the stairs to the first floor (with the help of the facility staff).

Availability of voice information

Providing information on the layout of rooms in the building, at least in a visual and tactile or voice way – information boards (Palace Jankowice), conservator (Palace Jankowice, Oficyna), audioguide; The audioguide has an audio description that allows the visual content to be conveyed verbally to the blind and visually impaired. Audioguide has a separate soundtrack available for those interested. Audioguides can be downloaded at the information point of Pałac Jankowice. The website has a mobile application. The application is a form of an audio guide that allows you to visit the Palace in Jankowice using mobile devices. The application is available in Polish and English. The application is equipped with mechanisms that facilitate viewing content by visually impaired people, such as: changing the contrast, changing the size of the text. Availability of induction loops

There are two induction loops in the palace building (in the office at the entrance and in the Concert Hall).

Adaptation of car parks

Parking spaces for people with disabilities are located in the immediate vicinity of the Jankowice Palace and Oficyna buildings.

The right of entry with an assistance dog

A person with an assistance dog can enter both buildings.

Availability of a sign language interpreter

Both in the palace building and in the outbuilding, it is not possible to use a sign language interpreter (PJM) on a daily basis. Within 2-3 working days from reporting the need, we are able to provide personal contact with a sign language interpreter.

Additional information

The Jankowice Palace can be visited using the Audioguide, which has audiodisscription, enabling the transmission of a verbal description of visual content to blind and visually impaired people. Audioguide has a separate soundtrack available for those interested. Audioguides should be downloaded from the information point of Pałac Jankowice.

The website is equipped with mechanisms that facilitate viewing content by visually impaired people, such as changing the text size. The website is not equipped with keyboard shortcuts that could conflict with other programs and technologies supporting users (e.g. programs for reading website content). Links – all links opening the content in a new window have been marked accordingly. Persons posting texts on the website make every effort to ensure that they are understandable and formatted in a manner consistent with the principles of accessibility, Pałac Jankowice makes every effort to ensure that photos and graphics on the website have defined alternative descriptions, so that their content is understandable for the blind. Users can recognize PDF documents that are not readable by screen readers with the OCR tool. The website has a mobile application. We run workshops for seniors, during which they learn the rules of using a computer (laptop) with Internet access. The project is to help people move freely around the online world, especially people for whom the world of the Internet is still unclear and difficult.
